We are seeking motivated, reliable volunteers to assist with a variety of activities and events. We also have volunteer opportunities in opening/closing parks; performing park maintenance; and assisting with aquatics, gymnastics, sports and at our new dog park.

Dog Park Advocate Certification
Dog Park Advocate Certification Course will be to familiarize patrons of the park with the dog park rules, basic canine body language, calming/stress signals, dog park etiquette 101, emergency preparation and strategies, and other do’s and don’ts to enhance your dog park experience. Upon completion of the course participants will earn the title, “Dog Park Advocate” empowering them with increased knowledge and preparedness to assist the County with providing a safe, positive park for all.” 
Prerequisite: Free to all dog park volunteers, age 18 years or older, who signed up and completed the volunteer packet through PRCF. Volunteers can help any time they are available. No minimum hours required to participate.

All volunteers that complete the certification course will receive a PRCF t-shirt and Dog Park Advocate Pin. 

Classes will be taught by Laurie Williams and held at the Pup ‘N Iron Canine Fitness & Learning Center. The Pup N’ Iron Canine Fitness is located at 21 Perchwood Dr, #111, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
